Dear ACPC Attendees,
The ACPC Core Committee and Airline Steering Committee cordially invite you to “Roar into the Future” at the 52nd Annual Air Carriers Purchasing Conference. This years conference is being Held at the Hyatt Regency located on the Magnificent Mile in downtown
Chicago
from August 23rd - 26th 2008.
Together with this year's Airline Host Mr. Bill Brown of ABX Air, the ACPC Board of Directors, Function Coordinators and Airline Steering Committee members have put together an exciting agenda of networking opportunities, business, and social events that you won’t want to miss.
Conference Registration:
- On-Line Registration begins on Monday, May 5th at 9:00 a.m. EST. Registration is “first come first serve”, so register early for the best queue time and opportunity for RT appointments, ANF and Supplier to Supplier Session Tables, and to get your ACPC Special Rate Hotel Room. Rates for the Chicago Hyatt Regency are $199.00 plus taxes per night for single/double. Rooms are available on a “first-come, first-serve” basis and are limited to one room per registered attendee.
- To register, beginning on Monday, May 5th, please log onto www.acpc.com and go to the “ACPC 2008” drop down menu and click “Register Online”.
- Regular Registration Ends on July 18, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. EST. To avoid the late fee, be included in the ACPC Directory, have an opportunity to secure an ANF or S³ table and to secure your spot in the annual ACPC Golf Tournament, you must be registered by this date.
- Your Conference Registration Number is required to sign up for any of the above noted events and serves as your queue number for on-site badge pick up, round table sign-ups, etc. If you lose or misplace your queue number, it will be available to check online on the ACPC Website.
ANF Registration:
- You must be a paid conference attendee to register for an ANF Booth. Your conference registration confirmation number is required to register for an ANF booth. ANF participation is limited.
- This year there will be 259 available ANF Booths. Registration is “first come first serve” and is available on-line only. For details on this venue, please review the ANF Participation rules on line at www.acpc.com or contact Dennis Suedkamp at dsuedkamp@triumphgroup.com.
Supplier to Supplier Sessions - S³:
- This year we are introducing a new venue called “Supplier to Supplier Sessions (S³)” This venue will provide opportunities for Supplier Companies, such as MRO’s and other non-airline companies who are seeking to outsource service and parts, to receive appointments from Supplier Companies seeking to do business with their companies.
- Since this is the First year of this venue, there will only be fifty (50) S³ tables available. To host an S³ table you must be a registered ANF participant. For rules and details about this venue please visit our website and click the Supplier to Supplier Sessions hyperlink or contact Michael Cannady at mec@aerotron.com.
Conference Highlights:
- The 2008 ACPC begins on Saturday August 23rd with Supplier and Airline Conference Registration. Registration will be in order of your Queue Time. After you have picked up your badge, you may then continue on to the Round Table Reservation room.
- The Merle Hellerstedt Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday at the Ruffled Feathers Golf Course. For more information, contact Frank Matos at fmatos@aerotechnologies.net. There will be two Business Breakout Sessions on Saturday; the first begins at 11:00 am and the second at 1:00 pm.
- The Supplier to Supplier Sessions - S³ will be held Sunday, August 24th from 9:00 -11:00 a.m. Each participating Supplier Company hosting a table will have the opportunity to conduct eight (8) 15 minute appointments. You must have an ANF Table to qualify to host an S3 Table. There are two Business Breakout Sessions on Sunday, at 9:30am and 11:00 am.
- The Aviation Networking Forum begins Sunday August 24th with Airlines only from 1:00 pm 2:30 pm. The ANF doors open for all attendees from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The evening social event, “Taste of Chicago” representing the diverse neighborhoods of Chicago will begin at 7:30 p.m. Entertainment for the evening is a great “Blue Brothers Band”.
- On Monday August 25th, Business begins with the Keynote Address, followed by Round Table Sessions, Breakout Sessions and a Luncheon featuring John Assaraf. You may recognize him from his many TV appearances, on Larry King Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, as well as his contribution to the movie and book “The Secret” which has sold over 2 million copies. The evening event is a Roaring Twenties Theme Buffett Reception.
- Our Spouse/Guest program will get underway on Monday August 25th. A very special day is planned on the Chicago Riverwalk that will include an International Brunch Cooking Demonstration with Executive Chef Christian Fantoni at the Bice Restaurant. Following lunch there will be a 90-minute architectural river cruise on the Innisfree Cruise Ship. More information can be obtained online at our website or from Marlene Holman at marlene@acas.aero. The tour is limited to 60 guests.
- Tuesday August 26th begins with the Closed Airline and Supplier meetings, Followed by Round Tables and Breakout Sessions. Our Tuesday Luncheon presenter is Jack Daly, a nationally renown speaker, accomplished author of books, DVD’s and Business articles.
- Our “End of an Era” Final Banquet beginning at 7 p.m. will feature the hilarious comedian Frank Caliende, a familiar face on the Late Show, Fox NFL pregame show and his own show, FrankTV. Dress code for this event is semi-formal.
- The Hospitality Suite will be open Saturday through Tuesday and is a great place to network with both airline and supplier representatives alike in a relaxed, comfortable environment. Please check the Social Agenda online for the Hospitality Suite schedule.
All attendees who are registered in the ACPC Block will receive a FREE wired for business package each day. The Wired for business includes free internet access and free local and long distance calling within the USA.
