Randy Murdock

     

    Randy Murdock is the Supplier Chair for the 63rd annual Air Carriers Purchasing Conference to be held at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington DC August 10th – 13th 2019.  As Supplier Chair, Randy has general responsibility over the conference. To support the Supplier Chair and to ensure a successful conference, he has a group of Aviation Professionals that are talented and well respected whom oversee the various conference venues. Randy has attended the conference since 1994 and has served in a variety of volunteer roles prior to becoming a Venue Coordinator in 2011. The successful experiences he had as a Coordinator led to his election to the ACPC Board of Directors in August 2016.

     

    Randy believes in the true value the ACPC brings to Airlines and Suppliers alike, regardless of size, and actively promotes the conference as the best Conference in the Industry.

     

    Randy served for 6 years on active duty and 12 years in the reserves for the Marine Corp working on the RF4 Phantom. Randy also served as an Embassy Marine in Tananarive, Madagascar and Geneva, Switzerland. Only the top 10% of Marines are accepted into Embassy Duty. After his active service, he started his commercial career in Aviation in 1979, working his way up from Mechanic to Customer and Field Service positions for McDonnell Douglas and Rohr. In 1994, Randy went into the Sales side of Aviation serving in several sales executive level positions with Lockheed Martin, Pemco Nacelles, Arger Enterprises, United Airlines and Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services. Currently, Randy is a Customer Development Manager for Proponent, located on-site at Delta Air Lines in Atlanta.

     

    Randy received his undergraduate degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics. while working at McDonnell Douglas.

     

    Randy resides in Newnan Georgia with his wife of 18 years Penny.
